Set up and use the Google Assistant on your TCL Google TV

 

Your TCL Google TV comes with the Google Assistant pre-installed, making it easy to control your TV, search for content, get answers, and more—just by using your voice.


Turning on Google Assistant

You can enable Google Assistant during the initial TV setup, or anytime afterward.


Supported Languages

Google Assistant on TCL Google TVs is currently available in the following languages:

English

French

German

Indonesian

Italian

Japanese

Korean

Portuguese (Brazil)

Spanish

More languages are being added regularly.


Check for System Updates

Before setting up Google Assistant, it's a good idea to make sure your TV is up to date.

On your TV, go to Settings > About

Select System Upgrade > Check for upgrade > Check now

If an update is available, select Download

If your TV is up to date, you’ll see: "Your system is up to date."


Set Up Google Assistant

On your TCL Google TV remote, press the Assistant or Microphone button

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup


Talk to Your Assistant

To ask a question or control your TV:

Press the Assistant or Microphone button on your remote and speak into it

Or, if supported on your device, simply say “OK Google” to activate hands-free mode
