Some TCL TVs allow the feet to be installed in more than one position. This can help the TV fit on a narrower stand or entertainment center.
On models with alternate mounting positions, small plastic caps may cover the additional screw holes. These caps must be removed before installing the feet.
See Example:

Before You Begin
You will need:
- A large, clean, padded surface
- A small flat-head screwdriver or plastic pry tool
- The feet and screws included with the TV
- A second person to help move larger TVs
Important: Check your TV’s Quick Start Guide to confirm that it supports multiple feet positions. Do not use uncovered holes unless they are identified as stand mounting points.
Remove the Screw-Hole Caps
- Unplug the TV and disconnect all cables.
This prevents cable damage and keeps the TV from moving while you install the feet. - Place the TV screen-side down on a clean, padded surface.
The padding protects the screen and frame from scratches or pressure damage. - Locate the covered mounting holes for the alternate feet position.
These are normally found closer to the center of the TV than the standard mounting holes. - Insert a small flat-head screwdriver or plastic pry tool into the edge or notch of each cap.
- Gently lift the cap out of the mounting hole.
Use light pressure to avoid scratching the TV or damaging the cap. Do not force the tool deeply into the TV. - Repeat this process for the remaining covered mounting holes.
- Save the caps in a safe place.
They can be reinstalled if you move the feet back to their original position.
Install the TV Feet
- Match each foot to the correct side of the TV.
- Insert the feet into the newly uncovered mounting locations.
- Install the screws supplied with the TV and tighten them by hand until secure.
Using the included screws helps prevent damage caused by screws that are too long or the wrong size. - With another person’s help, lift the TV upright and confirm that it is stable.
Important: Do not use a power drill or overtighten the screws. This could damage the stand, screw holes, or TV cabinet.
Need More Help?
If a cap will not come out easily, the feet do not align with the uncovered holes, or the TV feels unstable, stop the installation and check the TV’s Quick Start Guide. Contact TCL Support if additional assistance is needed.
