How to Set Up Your TCL Fire TV

Setting up your new TCL Fire TV is quick and easy! Follow these steps to get started and enjoy your favorite shows, apps, and features in no time.


1. Unbox and Position Your TV

Carefully remove your TCL Fire TV from the packaging. Inside the box, you’ll find:

TCL Fire TV

Remote control with batteries

Power cord

Stands and screws (if not wall-mounting)

Quick Start Guide

👉 Tip: Place the TV on a stable surface or mount it securely to the wall before continuing.


2. Attach the TV Stands (If Needed)

If you’re not wall-mounting:

Lay the TV face down on a clean, soft surface.

Align each stand with the bottom of the TV.

Secure with the included screws.


3. Connect the Power Cord and Devices

Plug the included power cord into the TV and then into a wall outlet.

Connect your devices (game consoles, cable boxes, soundbars) to the HDMI ports on the back or side of the TV.

👉 Optional: Connect an antenna to access over-the-air channels.


4. Insert the Remote Batteries

Open the back of the remote and insert the included AAA batteries.


5. Power On and Begin Setup

Press the Power button on your remote to turn on the TV. The setup screen will appear automatically.


6. Choose Your Language and Region

Use the remote to select your preferred language and location.


7. Connect to Wi-Fi

Select your home Wi-Fi network.

Enter your Wi-Fi password.

Your TCL Fire TV will now connect to the internet and download any necessary updates.


8. Sign in to Your Amazon Account

To access apps and features, sign in with your Amazon account.

Don’t have one? You can create a free account during setup.


9. Choose Your Content and Parental Controls

Follow the on-screen steps to:

Select your favorite streaming services

Set up parental controls, if needed


10. Enjoy Your TCL Fire TV!

You’re all set! Use your Fire TV remote to:

Navigate with the home button or voice search

Download apps from the Amazon Appstore

Watch content from services like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, and more
