RESOLVED: No display on TCL 43S431 / 43S431-CA Roku TVs - 10/26/2022
If you have any of the above TCL Roku TV models and you are unable to see any display on your unit following a software update.
To resolve the issue, follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Powercycle your TV by unplugging the unit from the power outlet.
- Wait for 1-minute, connect the unit back to the power outlet.
- Press the power button located underneath the unit
- It might take a few minutes for the TV to reboot completely.
- If the TV is still displaying an empty black screen, press and hold the RESET button located on the back of the TV until the TV displays a purple-colored screen labeled “Recovery Mode”
- Follow the on-screen prompts. When prompted, connect to your wireless network
- After being successfully connected to your wireless network, the TV will perform an automatic software update. Once successful, the TV will reboot and will eventually display the Home screen.
