RESOLVED: Software issues with TCL 6-Series TVs featuring Google TV
With the launch of TCL’s new 6-Series featuring Google TV, some users reported concerns about the stability of select streaming services. At TCL, we are committed to delivering premium products with world-class customer experience and therefore, with a new software update released to 6-Series TVs featuring Google TV in the week of September 12, 2021, the performance of this model now better reflects the excellent experience our customers are used to. Your television should update automatically, but if you would like to ensure you have the most recent software, click here to view step-by-step instructions on how to easily perform an update.
In many cases, you can program your cable, satellite or universal remote to control certain functions of your TCL Roku TV. Look for your provider from the table below and contact them for instructions on how to program your remote.
Note: Not all buttons on your Roku TV remote can be programmed to the buttons on your cable or satellite remote. The level of button support for specific remotes is listed below:
Basic – Power, volume, and input select.
Expanded – Basic button support plus back, home, up, down, right, left, replay, options (or star button), play/pause, reverse scan, and forward scan.
