Change Temperature Display From Fahrenheit to Celsius on Air Conditioner

You can change the temperature display from Fahrenheit (°F) to Celsius (°C) (or back) using the steps below.

Before you start

  • This process must be completed within the first 3 minutes after powering the unit back on.

  • Several steps need to be done in a specific order—if it doesn’t switch, repeat from Step 1.

Steps to change °F ↔ °C

  • Turn off the air conditioner.

  • Unplug the unit from the wall outlet for at least 30 seconds.

  • Plug the unit back in.

    • If it doesn’t power on automatically, press Power.

  • Set the unit to Cooling mode.

  • Set the temperature to:

    • 30°C or 86°F

  • Set the fan speed to Medium.

  • Press and release the SLEEP button 8 times within 8 seconds.

  • Wait 4–7 seconds. The display should switch to the other temperature unit.

Tips if it doesn’t work

  • Start over from Step 1 and try again. Timing matters.

  • Make sure you:

    • Use Cooling mode (not Fan/Heat/Dry)

    • Set Fan = Medium

    • Press SLEEP exactly 8 times and finish within 8 seconds

  • If more than 3 minutes pass after turning the unit back on, unplug it again and restart the process.
